She started her career as a model during the 70s, and quickly became one of the top figures in modeling. In the early 1990s she started studying acting and theatre. In the following years, after that, in Los Angeles and California she made her first stage appearances. Russo began her film debut in ABCs drama show Sable in 1987 as the role of Eden Kendell. She portrayed Tom Berengers' love interest the following year with Major League, her debut film. Her determination won the hearts of critics who were initially hesitant about her skills as an actor. Her most adored performance by critics was in Wolfgang Petersens Outbreak where she held her own against Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. However by her own admission she's never really been a passionate in acting. She was in 2005 when she was to a break, which was self-imposed. Her comeback was a part in Thor. And later she joined Ultimate Fighting Championships. The success she has achieved both inside and outside from the Octagon have made her famous since she was a part of the UFC. Namajunas was born June 29th 1993 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigrants family. As a child, Rose was involved in sports such as basketball and kickboxing. When she was 18 years old, she made her professional debut for Invicta Fighting Championships where she fought two times through submission. Dana White took notice of her performance and had her accepted into the strawweight division of UFC in December 2014 when Rose was barely 22. Rose was a part of Carla Esparza to win the Women s Strawweight Championship in The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. Rose won with a technical knockout after under three minutes Round One. After this win, Namajunas was able to have a number of other victories in which she defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from UFC in the wake of these wins .
